Not starting after engine is warm

My ‘08 535i will not start after the engine is warm. They car starts perfectly fine when the engine is cold. The starter has no trouble turning over the engine when it engages. The battery is good and tested.

When you say it doesn’t start can you give other symptoms? Is it cranking or not. Any noises? Lights? Codes?

No codes being read, no warning lights, and the only noise is the water pump.

Yes it runs fun once it starts. But the starter is not doing anything.

Are there any messages on the dash that pop up when attempting to start?

Has the starter been replaced? If so it may be missing a heat shield. It may also be a bad Crank Sensor.

If you feel so inclined you can try jumping the starter while hot to confirm if it is the issue.

So when hot you hit the button and nothing? xray pointed to possibly a missing heat shield. I'd begin by seeing if you get 12V to the solenoid whilst attempting the hot start. If no 12V, problem is elsewhere.
