hi guys,

quick question. how does non-xenon lights look like on lci models. Does anyone have a picture? does it look identical with the xenon lamps, but just with normal bulbs?

thanks for the help

Here is a photo I took a while ago. Sorry about the reflection, I don't have a better photo.

For Xenons, I think the matte silver plastic around the bulb is polished chrome.

That is cool, finally at least the xenon look for us having only halogen.

Does anybody have the part number?

I confirm that I have non-xenons. With DRL enabled, the angel eyes are lit all the time (much brighter than pre-LCI) but you have to leave the light switch in Auto all the time, which means that the normal halogens are lit as well.

If you want angel eyes only during the day, you'll have to move the light switch to parking lights. Annoying. See my seperate post about this. Note that Xenons do not have this behaviour (they really have DRLs as they were supposed to work).

so what is the purpose of automatic??? i thought it would be like on the x5. if it detects it is light enough, then only the drls run. if it is dark, it turns on all the lights (inside and outside) incl. thenormal halogens...
