makes me wonder iof there is such a thing like a alu cube trim for the back console?
If not, perhaps a dark wood retrofit would still be ok. The current black plastic does not have a lot of charm

well unless somebody is permanently sitting in the back that part is hardly in sight..... with black interiour is kind of hidden..... I'm afraid an extra piece of wood would make it "scream" loud.... besides combo of alu trim with wood???

but I wonder as well if there is a alu trim for that part

Wow they took away the rear trim? I thought it was nice touch up. But I do want the AUX in... just not there. I guess paying up for the retrofit isnt too bad if I get to put the AUX where i want it and keep the trim in the back.

I'm waiting for the iPod integration one!

I have non-smoke package in all my BMWs but I did not ask for it. Is that the default settings we get?

in europe the smoking package is default, non-smoking a no-cost extra
there is no alu trim for the backseat lighterpanel, so it's eather wood or plastic

Up until March 06, all UK spec cars had smoking pack as standard & just one power socket upfront. It was the only UK spec car of the entire BMW range to have one power socket including the Mini. Now it has three, one upfront & two in the rear of the consol with the aux imput. Still no socket in the truck.

I wrote to BMW UK to complain when I received my car in December 06, only then realising I would get just one on a ?40K car! Obviously many others must have done the same for them to change, my neibour just received a 525D SE with all three & the Aux.

I wish I knew that. I think it's really cheap when the lighter is a plastic plug. Even though I don't smoke. My E36/7 had non-smoke and I ordered the lighter just because. My E39 came with a real lighter. I don't think I ordered the smoke package on it. I didn't ask for it on my E60 thinking it would come with a lighter.
