Have you checked the torque of the Strut Brace Nuts if only to eliminate this?

Also changed 51 61 7 010 593 but nothing.
I have a clunk over sharp-edged bumps or rumble strips that I've finally tracked down. The bolts for the strut brace were tight but removing the brace made the noise go away. Thus I suspect that 51 61 7 010 593 is loose.

Are you guys sure the source of your noise isn't related to the following HERE!
Mine began to make a noise following an air-filter replacement - basically the nuts on the strut brace hadn't been done up to the correct torque. I couldn't pin point where the awful noise was coming from to begin with - first I thought it was the centre of the dash, then the left A Pillar and so on. Tightening the nuts 100% cured the problem - which is a well known fault.

This is great, thanks,

What's involved in changing out that part?

I have that same clunk! Only going over speed bumps. Sounds like a thud as if my strut is bottoming out. I'll have to look into this. thanks
