So last week I had the active steering wheel malfunction. I did a search on here and did as you guys instructed which was to turn the wheel all the way to the left then right then centre.

After I did notice it was a little bit harder to make a reverse park when turning the wheel but it wasn't happening everytime. Now I have a noise coming from the engine bay. My friend suggested it could be the power steering pump.

Any thoughts?

 

Does the sound change at all when you're turning your steering wheel?

 

I just turned the car on after letting it sit for a few hours. No sound, but then again I didn't drive the car, just turned it on.

 

did you ever move the steering wheel when the sound was there?
do you have any codes that are coming up on your computer

 

Ya and it was still making the noise.
