Noise - click clack clack click
I've got about 4200 miles on my blue bomber. My car has this constant clicking and clacking after it is well warmed up. It started initally only after the engine had shut off, but now even at an idle or at low speed I can hear it. It continues for several minutes after the engine is shut off. I assume it is the exhaust system, and when I had the car in service for the DSC/DTC sensor problem they told me the noise is normal. Problem is, the noise is getting louder and louder. Is it going to continue to increase in volume until a grand finale and then go away? Do any of the other 07 550 owners have the same experience?
Thanks!

if ur talking about the sound that happens on the out side of the car when the engine is off that is normal...its just the expanding of metals....engine, brakes, other parts...i thought all cars do it...i think the clicking stops after it cools down...
happens loud on hot days...on colder days should be quiter...

Mine is the same, too. Noise seems like coming from catalyst converter.

Geez,
Thats normal. Its getting louder because your waiting to hear the sound. Its fairly noticeable when the car is shutoff in the garage.

All cars do it, as someone mentioned earlier it is the metal parts expanding. I found it does it more during when its cold, but when its hot it does it slighltly less. do you find its really quite loud and frequent after a spirited drive?
