Well I have to post you guys the dyno sheet I ran the other day. I am going in today again to a dynojet (as the other one was a dyno dynamic) for comparison but I always heard that BMWs like to play at high RPMs and I also thought this to be true and man no wonder-the torque does not even climb and peak before 5k and peaks at just before 7. And they dont expect us to rev the engines hard-dont you think by making an engine with those parameters bmw is asking for people to drive hard? I mean your not even getting to use the car you bought unless you drive it hard-if you never revved over 4k than you might as well buy a car with half the torque like a civic that peaks around 2-4-They probably could keep maintence costs down if they did that to the bimmer!

The bi-turbo I6 in the 335 and 535 peaks at 300 lb-ft at 1400 rpm and is flat through 5200 rpm.

It's a shame the US doesn't get the awesome 535d or even the 530d. Much more useful power delivery without having your foot to the floor all the time. The 535i I imagine is a useful compromise.
