No sound after amp install - 2004 525i

Had a quick Q: I'm in the middle of an amp/sub installation. I spliced the wires according to the DIY thread from bruce_miranda:
0.75 SW/VI pin 13 AZBL- [Line level Left input -ve]
0.75 SW/RT pin 3 AZBL+ [Line level Left input +ve]
0.75 SW/BR pin 4 AZBR- [Line level Right input -ve]
0.75 SW/WS pin 14 AZBR+ [Line level Right input +ve]
when I connect it using the wire-->RCA cable, using this config, and into my amp, I get no sound.
But when I plugged in the Left (-) and Right (-) into one channel [+, -] respectively, I started getting sound albeit not as great as I'd hoped. I took off the splice connections and re-did the splices on all the wires, but still no sound. Any advice?

hello everyone, i really need help on how to find the actual wires to connect an after market amp, my car is a e60 2004 model with no factory amp or subs. im pretty sure it is the standard sound system with just 4 speakers. can anyone help please
