Newbie.. i know these cars have reputation for idrive issues. I myself have spent money fixing I.e mulf which cost me £400 when i should tried a second hand one
anyway it's still unpredictable to the degree that I now have no sound ,, idrive ok but no bass,trebble fader balance equivalent etc I have a logic 7
I've checked all fuses all good disconnected mulf battery put back no luck

i have no use of bass treble volume no dongs for handbrake or lights pdc etc

You need to get INPA to see what module is bad. If you don't have that then you will have to pull modules one by one to see what the issue is or put in a loop

Where is the cable coming from going into the MULF. That's where I would start. I think you don't have the VO correct so it doesn't know there is a mulf there. The easiest thing to do is pull up INPA that will tell you if there is an issue with that module

oh my days 🤭went with the loop suggestion. I had initially disconnected cd found that it was confusing everything in i drive. But it cut off the loop on the system as there was no fibre optic light going to amp or mulf. I first tryed to connect loop to cd but it wouldn't fit so i connected to mulf still no sound then realused the cd was cuttinf off the loop so i re connected cd checked mulf fot light and it was there connected loop and hey presto sound every where. So looks like the dreaded mulf was the culprit. Maybe the cd too but i dont know. So thank you 👍
