No power to 12v aux outlets once car is off

Then just turn the key to right before ignition, ACC, like I said above.

Hold up - just to clarify, there is a BIG difference between ACC (pushing the start button once)and KOEO (Key On Engine Off - pushing the start button twice).

ACC allows accessories like the radio to work.

KOEO energizes all computer/electrical systems and components (e.g. HPFP, Blower Motor, Electronic shifter, etc.) If you have CA and you accidentally tap the brake the engine will start. Leaving the ignition in this position just to use the 12v outlet can be done but is NOT recommended.

BMW as well as other car manufacturers engineered the 12v outlets to only work when the engine is running to prevent battery drain. So if you have to run on the 12v outlet while the car is off the best method is to reconnect the positive lead on the outlet to a wire that runs directly off of the battery.
