Hi,

I have 2006 525i, and I noticed today there is no Alarm/warning message when the doors are not fully closed??

I opened the passenger-door and started driving slowly, and there is NO Alarm/warning that the door is open!! Now this worries me, if there are no Door sensors and I have to check every time if all the 4 doors are fully closed? Pls tell me this is not the case. They should have warning/alarm when u lock ALL THE Doors using keyfob, if any of the windows are down! it happened to me already, one of the rear windows is left open, and it rained heavily that night.. luckily since all seat are leather, not much water damage

Also, if i don't start the engine, I still pull the gear from P->D and roll the car back on a downward slope? Isn't this a security concern?

i would take it to the dealer.. that is a safety issue that needs to be taken cared of. as for the pulling of the shift knob from park to drive while the engine is not on, that is normal i think (correct me if im wrong) because i know i can do that on my e60 too.

Yes, the warning comes on when you start moving above a certain speed (I think it's 10 km/h)
On the E90 the boot (trunk) open warning only comes on when you are moving as well ... this is kind of annoying. Is the E60 the same?

Did your warning not come on even after driving a little further with the door open?
