Nitrous
i actually gave joe a call yesterday and talked to him for a while on the phone and oddly enough i bought his old NOS kit off of his e60 and he told me the ins and outs and its safe for a 100 on mine if you up the fuel to nitrous ratio. and to dbae or whoever..no im not interested in blowing up my engine hence to why i made a post on an e60 forum. I, along with these other fine gentleman im sure also realize we have nice cars that we love..so you sir, make no sense. but thanks a ton to everyone for the advice and to the guy with the 7 series..do it man and give joe a call hes really a smart dude and knows a lot about what he's doing. thanks again everyone.
Id back it down to a 75 shot, 100 shot is asking for it on a 6 cylinder, just sayin. Anyways, keep us posted!
yeah i hear you on that Joe also said it'd be safest on a 75 shot and I think that's what I may do atleast until I replace internals and build it more. But thanks for lookin out man and for sure I'll definately keep everyone posted though!
You have to agree with me that running nos on any engine causes excessives strain and tends to ruin engine parts even after a short period of time. Especially on a 6 cyl with 140k miles!
'I, along with these other fine gentleman im sure also realize we have nice cars that we love..so you sir, make no sense.' WTF does this mean?? YOU Make no damn sense ..??
it realy doesn't matter how big of a shot u puting on the car its all about the tune. like if u put a 100 shot of nos and get it map tune for that. the car should run perfectly with out any problems. but i wouldnt over do it with the nitrous just cuz the motors are aluminum.

Not mine (or yours) - far as I know the M54 is a magnesium block. The N62 (2006-2007) started using aluminum blocks, hence the reason we can super/turbo charge our cars fairly easily (if not cheaply).
