MacFly created two different HDR versions of the last pic and they're both awesome! I can nothing but praise him .

Hi all

Sorry for the delay in replying however I have been traveling around the USA and then Australia on business...

The other method I was talking about is a simple layering and masking technique that only takes a few minutes (as mentioned also by heavy-g), allowing you to play around with detail and settings of each of the original photos WHILST STILL compiling the finished product. I am not a fan of software that blends photos for you as you lose a lot of detail, get a 'ghost' effect around certain elements and a fair bit of noise....

Here is the original photo..... (middle exposure of 3) in its unedited form. Note the darkness of the car and lack of detail.



and here is the layered version with colour and lighting corrected... with the car brighter and showing more detail. It can be brought out in further (brighter) lighting by adjusting that layer (which can be useful if you want to apply dark filters later) and although the colours are correct, it's in need of some warmth..... which can be done a few ways....



Once you have the basic photo how you want it, you can apply any filter you like with channels and masking to get this..... (note the first I have converted to black/white to remove the colour of the lights as a sepia effect and the second is an example of it retained)
