sorry to hear about that.

is it a good reason to get aftermarket wheels though?

NeRwEezy,
The way your logic works, you are obviously a married man.

Thanks Eddie. I would have never guessed it was inexpensive. Good to know, I would have probably bought a new rim.

Fortunately they said its all covered and they'll do it the same day they put on my 35% tints that they owe me. Pick up and drop off too. I love this company!!!

Will post pics when its all done, tinted and presentable.

UPDATE:

They are covering all costs and even giving me a 330xi to abuse...errr .... drive while mine is in the shop. They even dropped the loaner at my garage at home while I was at work.

I like this company more and more every day......

So the car went to the dealer on tuesday, its now Thursday night. The wheel has a crack and needs to be replaced. If I get it back tomorrow it will have been 4 days now to replace a Freekin' Wheel!!!!!!!!

I'm liking this dealership less and less now. Time to go back to 57th St dealer.

So, the car is less than 2 weeks old and on my way in this morning, an idiot taxi driver cuts me off and I bang my wheel against the curb avoiding him.

The front passenger side rim now has a dent. I have 18" run flats and I bought the tire/wheel insurance.

Before I call the dealer, I was hoping you guys could tell me if there are any "key phrases" I should avoid when talking to my dealer.
How does the insurance work in general?

Thanks for the help
The best answer to your question is for you to read the insurance policy details that came with your purchase.

This story just doesn't end but the Shop manager is great.
Called this AM and told him 4 days is enough to change a tire. I want my car back one way or the other by end of day so I can have it the weekend.

Says he'll call back.
2 hours later he calls back. Apologizes sincerely, say the new wheel has arrived but the new tire has not. The tire is leaking air.

So this is what he does. He patches the tire (even though he isn't supposed to). Delivers the car to my garage, while I'm at work and picks up the loaner. On monday he will send a guy out with the new wheel and tire to swap it at my garage.

Everything is covered.

Lets see Jaguar/Ford/Tata do that (channeling another thread)
