I've been looking everywhere for something like this. They offer a Valentine1 remote display hidden in the rear view mirror. The mirror is supposed to be for a e39 M5 but do you think it would look okay on the e60's? They don't have a stealth display for the e60 (programmed to show up on the electronic dash) so this is a nice clean look for people who use the Valentine1. I am planning on buying a detector soon and am leaning toward the Valentine1. Am i correct to assume that it detects both radar and laser? What do you guys think of it? I know the price is steep but I like it.

That's nice, but I'd just buy a regular V1 and hardwire it.

I wouldn't replaced my rear view mirror w/ any oem mirror. It has the remote garage opener and alarm sensor/on light built into it. I just bought the concealed display module (when I orderd my V1) that you can mount anywhere you please.
Here's how I did it!

I second those who say do not replace your rear view mirror. Do the hard wire thing. I have mine mounted very high, above the rear view mirror on the driver side. It interferes a little bit with the sun visor, but I usually will put on a cap when driving into the sun or can adjust the visor anyway.

Become a law enforcement officer/Police Officer and you won't even need a V1!

Well in NY a Nassau or Suffolk County Police Officer with 6 years makes over 100k a year. A Port Authority NY/NJ Police Officer has a comparable salary. I think they could buy E65's or better if they wanted to.

You can't judge a book solely on it's cover.
