The last two days, I've had two people stop me in parking lots, rolled down my window, and they asked 'what kind of car is that?'
One said 'that's the best looking BMW I've seen'.
The other said 'I thought that might be the new M5'. We talked for a while - great guy, did 'One Lap of America' a couple years ago.

I still get people honking and waving and pointing on the highway sometimes.

i was driving today and caught a guy and a girl (must be husband and wife) in a black M3 completely turning their heads to look at the car at a red light as i drove by from the other side. guess the M3 just doesn't have the same appeal after the debut of the e60
