I have programmed my rhomb (or star) button on the steering wheel to select the "next entertainment source" -

However when I press it, it by-passes the Aux In connection (whether or not I have an MP3 player connected and playing through it)... it just goes from FM/AM to CD / CD Changer and not Aux In!

Does this happen to anyone else or is it just me? :'(

Mine works.

Probably a programming feature your installer forgot, or skipped.

Software problem.
Mine skips more than just AUX-In.

Mine only skips Aux - FM, AM, WB, CD, SAT all ok. Aux available via Voice and Entertainment Main Menu ok as well. My dealer submitted PuMA case - I need to check and see if they have received anything back yet. I believe, although I could be wrong, that on some cars it is working - but I do not know which combination or permutation

Had the aux input installed yesterday (they also installed 17.01). The aux input is accessible from iDrive and voice commands, but not steering wheel button. Even if you using aux input, it will cycle through all other inputs, but not go back to aux input. They needed to get info from BMW on this, so I just took the car. I've only used that button once--when I first got the car to see how it worked--since using voice command is easier for me. I'll have them fix it when I get my oil changed at 7,500 miles...
