Im after your advice please, im just about to buy an e60 and i want to use it for everyday commuting 30 miles per day on a mixture of road types, now i dont drive slow but at the same time im no boy racer either and i want to know will i find the 520d too slow or will i regret buying a 525d due to the extra tax and insurance and lower mpgs

im after a blend of performance and economy on one hand i see the 520d being under powered and on the other i see the 525d being too juicy, i will buy a manual either way.

should i get a 525d and get in remapped for economy or 520d and get it remapped for performance? i do around 12k miles per annum

looking to buy one around 2005-2007 with between 40-60k max mileage - so any advice you may have whatsoever will really help. is the lci worth hanging out for?

520d will be just fine, it has a lot of grunt (read: torque) once it starts moving.
