That picture is interesting there are two E60, the one in the background have 124 rims and then you have two V70 behind mr_djurgarden's E60. Interesting!

The M5 wheels doesn't fit the regular E60 because the offset is different but some members have put it on and find no problem with it. I do agree that the 123 looks better in real life than in the picture but the 135M on mr_djurgarden's car is the best looking 18" and the 172M I think is a better choice for the regular E60.

I also agree that 172M look best for the regular E60 but the M5 rims are also awesome, and like you said some members have put the M5 rims on with no problems.

It's not that the M5 (Style 166) rims are a problem...it's when they're also used with the *stock M5 tires* (255/40-19 front and 285/35-19 rear) that they're outside of BMW's normal supported sizes on a non-M5 E60. When used with 245/35-19 front and 275/30-19 rear, it's fine.

(That said, I'm sure some people have the M5 tires as well on a non-M5, but it's outside of BMW's officially supported sizes.)

DAS -

as you know my E60 is headed stateside about the same time as yours -

I love the 124's but went with the 123 wheel and sport package - i thought these were all-season
performance tires? are you getting winter tires for the Wisconsin winter? or do you think
that the stock tires that come with 123 or 124 are sufficient with the all wheel drive?

I haven't been able to get a straight answer, but it's my understanding that the tires that BMW ships stock with 17" wheels on the xi models are all seasons, whereas the Style 123 wheels come with non-all-season runflats (but the dealer claims that they haven't had complaints with even RWD vehicles when using the standard runflats). When I heard that, I figured I might as well just get the staggered 124s like I wanted anyway.

I believe that any good tire with a reasonable tread pattern should do well with the AWD.

Hi,
I thought also the 18" looked a bit to small in the beginning but I changed my mind. I think the 18" looks absoultly great with the msportpackage. Check the picture out!

Does anybody esle feel this way about the 124? anytime I see them from far away I like much better than when I see them close! hence why I like the 123s much better than the 124s. In reality when I one day order my car, I'll have to get it with 172s
