My Ride: All on order and should be here by 28th September 2007
Default

Hi, been a lurker for a while but now have the chance to order a 5 for a company car.

I just wanted to know your opinions on the options to choose.

So far I have had a look at the online configurator and selected:

M Sport
Carbon Black
Dakota Leather
Auto Dim & Folding Mirrors
Visibility Package

Does anyone have pictures of the extended interior light package? This looks like a nice option to have

Also is it possible to change the stereo for an aftermarket one i.e. Alpine system? and if so does anyone have any pictures of how they fitted it into the dashboard?

Sorry for al the questions

I don't think it will be easy to replace the stock CD player, but you can add in a 1 DIN unit at where the cubby hole is located, see this thread:

Planning to do this myself. Also Merzbow has an awesome install but he fabricated a custom trim piece and rearrange the stock CD player and the new player. Do a search for his username and check out his link which shows a detail install of his system. I happened to see his sound system in person and it's unbelieveable!

Oh yea!

It is amazing how you can convert a 'luxury' into an 'essential' in such a short period of time.

I'm sure BMW make more on the options than on the base car.

And once you have your car, "options" turn into "mods"!!
