Been looking for replacement tires for 2009 550i, the Conti's just did not wear very well and they are costly, some of you guys suggested thr General tires, but Tire rack talked me out of them. Anyway, I went with Bridgstone 760 sports, very nice looking and way more quiter than the Conti's were.

I had my dealer mount and balance them, but I'm not sure if the pressure is correct, what pressure are you guys running 19" tire at, I'll let you know how these tires wear after a few months.

Thanks

On a 19" I'd run 39 or 40 psi.

I have bought from them many times and they kinda know me, the biggest issue would have been noise, my rep explained would be the case. He wanted me to go for the new Conti's, (cannot remember the model) but I just don't love the tires. The Bridgestones were more money than the Generals, but way less than many of the other high proformance summer tires out there.

Iv'e put over 100 miles on them and have to say the car rides great, much smoother than the original conti's and much quiter, I'm really happy with my choice.

Let me know if you need more info.

That seems low to me, how many miles do you have on them and do you like them?

My Potenza RE760 Sport tires have about 15,000 miles. They are wearing evenly and not showing much wear at all. I'll be surprised if I don't get at least another 12,000 miles out of them. I have stock sport suspension and Active Suspension. Wheels are BMW Style 123 and no damage to date. In winter (Nov - Feb) I run 17-inch Blizzaks.

I run my tire about 4 lbs over stock and they wear perfectly. How did your Conti wear? more in the middle, both edges, one edge or evenly across the tread pattern?

You are asking two questions here. The correct pressures for your tyre/wheel size are on the driver's side door pillar label and in the handbook.Members are advising you of the pressures that they run for whatever reason, but not necessarily the correct ones.
