Guys,

I am sure i read this somewhere in this forum, but there were some fellow members where the nav prof stalled after the CIP update - i have searched, but could not find these posting (maybe i am just dumb and not using the right search words ). Anyway, anyone here have this problem? basically got my cip updated as part of the ipod integration - got my car back, and viola, ipod works but nav does not realize that the car is moving, ie. it recognises the position when i start the car, but thats it, it does not realize that hte car is moving.

obviously the car is going back to the stealer, but i am just curious what they can do - usually you go to them with a problem, the first thing they do is a sw update, but since i have the latest sw (thursday update, so i guess cip 23), i wonder what they will be doing...

cheers

rumman

That's not unusual.
Sometimes, when things go wrong during the update process, you experience malfunctions.
In this I'd say, there was something not loaded correctly during the update process, and they have to do it again.
This is nothing specific to this CIP update, it is something that happens with all CIP updates.

servus,

thanks for your prompt reply. i am on holilday for a whole week, so when i get back next week, i will be taking it to the stealer for a check - i hope it is as simple as making sure that updates are all correct.

I think they will simply run the update again.

I had my car at the dealersahip once for three days, since there was allways somthing going wrong during the process and they had start again. The more gadgets you have, the easier errors occur...
