Great pictures!
Please provide a few comments about the driving experience of the BMW compared to the mini.
Please provide a few comments about the driving experience of the BMW compared to the mini. Now, i like both cars as much. Since the BMW is my first Automatic Transmission; i need to say i love it (especially the M/S mode, like in rally cars
). The Mini cooper S has a manual 6-transmission. So here is my opinion: i really like the Mini because it is really a sporty car. It is small (hey, it's a Mini
), has lots of power (163 bhp), it holds the road perfectly (like in a cart) and for me it's like a bomb. Then the BMW; i like the BMW because it has plenty of room compared to the Mini. It has more comfort but it also has as much power (218 bhp).
Since i also have the ///M sports package, the car feels as sporty as the Mini but you don't really feel it when you drive at high speeds (in comparision with the Mini). In the Mini you just have more the feeling you drive fast...
But i have to admit, before the 525xi i had an E39 530d also with sports package and i have to say they made a good improvement. The BMW holds the road perfectly!
And finally, i really don't regret i've taken the 4 wheel drive. I couldn't test it in snow (since i have the car 1,5 months), but in the rain, it just is great! I even drove my previous car in the rain after driving with the 4 wheel drive and really, i felt like it hadn't the grip it had before.
So, i should have to say; i like both cars and i'm looking forward to join a meeting in Belgium to see other BMW-lovers and their lovely cars
PS: norham what do you mean by 'Whats the badge'?

Hi sports package,
Congrats on the choice of the both cars, really nice pics!
Funny thing is, we have the exactly same combo in our garage, an E60 and a Mini Cooper S, even same colors and all; I really have to take some pictures!
norham probably meant the Leterme Ieper badge beneath the left taillight, because it reads "leper" (a infectious disease) on first sight. Probably the name of the BMW dealer in Ypres?

Yes, I would put it just the same way.
I love driving the Mini in town, it corners lie a go-cart and really has a style of its own.
The downside is a race-stiff suspension on longer rides or the autobahn. After all I?ve read on RFT tires here in this forum, I ask myself, whether non-RFTs would be a better choice for the Mini, too.

You already have a small trunk and you need to put a spare wheel in it...
Or you should take the risk and drive without the spare wheel.

Unfortunately, BMW does not allow these parts to be easily changed like some other trendy car brands do, otherwise, one could change from time to time.
Enjoy your beauty, and with that X drive, there must plenty of grip on the road

Excellent choice, very nice !!! I like the Riegel Ahorn Anthrazit , very stylish, but one has to make a choice and since my previous car has wood trim, I found the alucube a nice alternative.

I wouldn't have tried this with my former E39...
