Great looking car! Mine is at the dealer but I'm going away mid-week so won't pick up until I come back. How do you find the ride on the run flat tyres? They've been universally panned by the journalists and I read with interest in the recent Autocar M5 roadtest that the M5 doesn't have them and the journalist thought it was the best riding 5 series apart form the base model on 16" rims. Seriously thinking about changing mine on my car when it arrives.

The RF question will go on and on and on...! In the end, you have to try the car with them and without them.

For me, I do not like RF in general. I have tried them and although the idea is great, the technology is still to be improved IMHO.

My Z4 came with RF and I immediately changed them to Michelin PS 2 on Alpina 18" rims. In fact, all my BM cars have Michelin PS 2 including the E60 arriving in 2 weeks time (Alpina 19" 8.5J FR, 9.5J RR).

All the Best

Take a trip down to your BMW dealer..... On Nov 5th, they all received boxes of the new BMW GB 5 Series Sport Brochures with Pricelist.? Nicely printed with a glossy card cover.? This brochure details all differences between regular and sport 5 series (E60/61).

I'll be scanning one tomorrow and post under a new topic.? I guess the peep in USA will be interested too.

Yes, I have the brochure too. Collected it with the car. I'm planning on scanning it too. No point both of us doing it though.

The RF tyres (18") combined with the M sport suspension means the ride is quite brutal. Not sure of it's too brutal or not yet. But I think I'll be quite happy with it.

I've noticed that it's quite stiff, and I'm a bit surprised at how much I'm feeling the bumps. But so far I'm loving it.

Thanks. I shall make sure it's posted ASAP, just in time for the yanks when they get home from work.

Looks like there's going to be a collection of Carbon Black Sport E60s about soon.

Hey BangleBox,

Great looking ride, I'm no longer the only one with a Carbon Black M-sportpackage. I still think the best looking E-60 spec around.

Banglebox,
New car looks fantastic. My forthcoming jet black 520 Sport should look same.
My local dealer has 2 Sport demonstators - both in Carbon black, one with black leather/wood and one in beige leather/aluminium. The beige and aluminium cube looked so good I have ordered my new car in same spec.
Look forward to seeing the scanned brochure as my dealer only had regular brochure which only has 2 pages dedicated to new Sport model.
