Hi,
A New and first time owner of a :
2004 525i
Build date 07/04
22K miles on the odometer
NAV, Auto, Premium Pkg.
A few quick questions :
1) Ive been diggin through and reading the threads... but can someone please summarize the sea of answers... i want to have bluetooth activated... what do i need to do?
2) I dont beleive i have a cd changer, but I would like either iPod or Mp3 capability. What do I need to do/know?
3) The seatbelt chime... if I have my bag on the seat next to me ... it becomes really annoying and have to remember to put the bag on the floor, anyway to disable the chime/warning or something
I really appreciate the help.
I am under factory warranty still.
Thanks
Taimoor

Welcome to E60 ownership and to the forum!
There's a wealth of information here on all three of your questions, so I'd recommend doing searches on "bluetooth", " iPod" / "Dension" and "seatbelt" respectively for your 3 questions.
As I recall there may be some issues getting BT activated on older build cars, with the cutoff being somewhere in 2004, so you'll want to to a little more searching and reading on that. Here are some links I know of:
http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=42783&hl=
Finally, I'd be careful raising the question about the seatbelt chime - it's been a hotly-debated topic here for a while and you may need a flame-resistant suit. There are a couple of solutions kicking around though. Here's one: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=4664&hl=
Good Luck!

IN REGARDS to the chime sound for the seatbelt, i dont think its a prob, let me tell you why. I have driven my car many times and the chime just goes away after about a 1minute and a half, even if there is someone in the passenger seat not wearing a belt, im not sure if this is for back seat though.
Kids always wear belts in the back.so im not sure about that, however for the front i am 100% sure.
Would make a vid, but just dont have the time at present.
Not sure its safe without Wearing a belt, especially here in the UK.
Good luck with the other points you raised
and finally WELCOME,
