I got the iPod stuff when I got the car, but the BSW one looks really cool. Google "Bavarian Sound Works" and it should come up.
How do you like the factory integration Ipod kit? My sales guy said that he had 2 clients put it in and it would have problems from time to time. For example, it would just shut off out of nowhere. My car was a late 05 production so it does not have an Aux input.

Does your CPO warranty cover electronics as well? such as i-drive, audio and etc. If CPO warranty just covers power train then there is no reason for you to get the ipod kit over Dension Gateway 500.

If electronics are covered, then go with bmw oem ipod kit. Also try other dealerships in your area for the quote.

I plan on getting a quote for the adapter integration and for just the AUX.

Keep us posted on the individual costs you find. I wonder myself what just the AUX input would cost?

I have no desire for a full Ipod interface as I dont use my Ipod ever in the car, but sure would like to hook up an AUX audio source (my Garmin GPS is my MP3 player as well).

Thanks

Sounds like a great car! I have the same color combo, I love it!
whoops missed this post.

I was a bit hesitant at first b/c of the color combo, but the more I looked at it the more I fell for it. Plus its not everyday you see this combo, my only concern is trying to keep it clean!

Definitely will keep you guys updated. I told my sales guy to introduce me to their Service Advisor today, I'll ask him/her then.

Hi fellow e60's!!! If you have read my last thread, you would know the crazy situation I had with the previous finance guy. Well my sales guy called me today (as I told him too) and assured me that I would not have to deal with that finance guy. My sales guy broke down every aspect of the vehicle maintenance history and CPO check list, we went through the list to make sure that I understood everything.

I dealt with the finance director (the other guys boss) and she was great!!! Explained everything carefully and even asked what went wrong the other day. I explained it to her (without knowing that was his boss, after I told her she said that she was his boss!).

With the help of all of you, I bought the car with the utmost confidence and I am very happy with my purchase.

She is a 2006 Jet Black/Beige 530i
Premium Package
Navigation/Bluetooth
Comfort seats ( They sure are comfortable)
And one of the most important aspect of her........6MT!!!!

I will post pics when I pick her up tomorrow! It was late and I wanted to make sure that they did a good job on the detail.

One more thing, I plan on keeping this car for awhile and would really like the Ipod interface, my sales guy said the part alone was $170 not including labor, he's going to get me a discount, but would you guys recommend to get it else where?

And to E60.net for all the help and clarifications....
and congrats! I see you've started modding You're on the right track!

I finally picked her up today and I am REALLY happy with the purchase! The car drives great but I am still getting used to all the functions and features. My sales guy said he ran my vin for the Ipod adapter (there is two interfaces) and he said my part alone was $370 not including install....anyways... I'll look around and maybe the guy from Newport BMW on here can hook me up

Going back to the dealership to take care of a couple of bugs like the voice command for some reason it doesn't activate, my garage door won't sync, and I don't know if its an option, but I read....well my g/f read haha....in the manual that if I have my keys in my pocket and touch the keyhole for 1 second it should lock the door....well it doesn't work.

No pics yet, been driving

Definitely will get pics tomorrow!

BTW where can I order a set of BMW all weather floor mats?
