For US cars, you ARE ALLOWED to go past 100mph during break-in, BUT ONLY IF you are doing European Delivery and get to drive on the Autobahn.

Just make sure to vary the RPM's when you decelerate back down from over 100.

Yup, I did.

I wouldn't want the next owner not to be able to do 0-60 runs in under 5.5 seconds.

Use what ever method u are comfortable with. If this is your first new car then it will be hard to decide on what method to use and the more u research the harder the choice.

Congrats and good luck.

BMW build the car so do what they suggest in the manual!

If its a lease/company car thrash the fu*k out of it straight away. Drive it like a demonstrator

Thanks for all the advice. This is my first BMW and before i bought the car, i did a lot research about the car i was quite surprise about the reviews. There was a lot complain about the I-drve that it was hard use it, but they said the new inline 6 engine and the suspension is really good. So to prove it to my self about the reviews i went to a local dealership and test drove a 530i. I started playing with the I-drive, it was so easy to use i was like, what are they talking about its hard use. Maybe those people who wrote the review are not technical or maybe they just dont like gadgets in thier car. The voice recognition, navigation and premiun sounds are my favorites and of course the sports suspension. I cant wait to drive this car on hwy 9 (Hwy 9 is in northern california were motorcycle and fast cars go to test thier toys)
