Yes Fred, finally ditched a pair of EOS 1n's and went totally digital about 6 months ago
I use a 10d with battery grip, 50mm, 17-40L f4 ,70-200 L f4 and a 200L f2.8, also a 1.4x TC
I fancied a 1d MkII body but couldn't justify the 3x cost over the 10d.
the 17-40 should get some nice interior shots before the kids trash it too much!
Looking forward to seeing the photos of germany trip
Das should get a gallery section up and running...please...please,please das

Bird-eye view presents the map data as if you were looking at it from about 150 feet above the road. i.e. the horizon appears about a quarter of the way down the screen and the perspective view looks like 3D. it makes road layout look much more "real"
its really neat and in my opinion, much easier to follow.
I'll see if I can find a weblink for you.

Everything working ok so far with your Prof. Nav?
Did you get a newer software version when you updated?
On monday I?ll leave the car at my dealer for the upgrade ( nervous! ).
They then have 2 weeks to make it work before my holiday trip to France and Germany!

Except for a few issues (mentioned already by others at this forum) everything is ok. The map is a big improvement over the arrow view. I have a slight problem with the voice. Sentences are sometimes cut in the beginning and have to be repeated (press the key) to catch the first word. Her accent sounds odd. The voice from the smaller Nav was more clear ("Oxford") and very easy to listen to. Since I?m Swedish I can not tell where she is from. To me it sounds like a mix of American, Irish and Scottish. Anyone got a clue?
