As mentioned, the 5-series has been updated here in the US in April for the last two years.

However there is no guarantee that this will happen next year. So by waiting till summer you might get an 09 and you might get an 08. Also your questions about how much off you will get will probably be better answered next year and will depend on a multitude of factors including how the economy is doing.

 

Ha! good call....... I just ordered a new E61 530D M-Sport Touring yesterday and before I finalised it, I asked my wife what options she absolutely had to have. The only two she mentioned were front seat heating (we don't live in the sunbelt - but the UK where it gets cold at times) and the side blinds - she said exactly the same thing......"you have to get the factory blinds, otherwise I'll have to use those ugly suction cup ones". If you have kids, this is a "must have" option - and very low cost too.

Despite having had both options on my old E60, I would not have specified either myself - just goes to show that I never sit in the back and that girls get colder arses than boys.
