My Ride: Currently MB SL 500 Roadster Next: 2009 535i. Hopefully summer '08
Default

Hi all. I've been checking out a lot of cars for our next vehicle and have decided on the new 535i. I drove one yesterday and the ride, handling and power are very impressive. I'm sure there are many threads but I have a few questions. We don't need the car till next summer so should we wait and just order a '09? When is the cutoff date to order an '08? I don't think i want to have the last production 535 for '08. Lastly, what type of deal should I be looking for? ie: how much off MSRP is a good/great price? Thanks

Welcome dragoncoach to the Forum,

Order a April built car and you'll get a US MY '09.

The MY in EU changes in September.

So you have about half a year to learn what options you should order.

Please state your whereabouts.

Sport pkg, Sport automatic transmission (SAT) w/ paddles & multi-contour seats must have options.

Also, if you live in the Sun Belt, make sure you order the sunshades. Nothing worse than seeing a Sponge Bob Square Pants or Garfield sunshade suction-cupped to the rear side window of an E60. Waaay tacky! Save that for the "beater mobile"

+1 Also a good way to bust up your window motor if you lower the window with old square pants still attached.

We're still thinking but have some options we want:

Sport Package
Premium Package
Heated Seats
Sunshades
Comfort Access

We're not sure about heads up, active steering, folding rear seat, sport transmission (with paddles) and a few more things
Can you order HD radio without the Logic 7 sound system?

Sound that you guys need to consider a 535iA Touring.

Hi-Fi Pro does the audio job just fine.
