My Ride: E60 545i M5 front MSport kit 19" 220 style wheels
New member
Hey all, new member here. I've owned an e60 545i sapphire se now since November and it's a great car. I wasn't looking for another bmw (I previously owned an 07 335i convertible which was less than reliable) and all my previous cars have been Japanese - but I've now got a young son and a five door car with plenty of power. It seemed the right time and when the chance to buy this car came along (the missus aunt had owned it from new) I couldn't turn it down.
I registered on here to find out about lowering springs, I've done some research but it seems hard to get first hand experience about certain brands and what they'll do.
Since owning the car I've fitted an m5 style front bumper and sourced genuine used skirts and rear bumper. I've updated all bulbs to led, fully serviced the car and changed the tranny sump, bolts and fluid along with new diff oil - I've also got a set of kidney grilles coded and then finished off with a set of 19" 220 style wheels with 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 uniroyal Rainsport 3 tyres (non runflat). I've also got an msport rear spoiler to go on and an ac schnitzer roof spoiler. Luckily for me it had the de-chrome option from the factory.
Anyway good to be here and have a look around, I hope to find out more about the do's and don'ts when lowering, previously I've gone for a coilover kit on my jap cars but don't want that with this.
Here's a pic of where I'm at so far
