Sorry to revive a slightly older thread but you can certainly program your own keys if you are OK investing in a few new tools (programmers) and taking the time to get them to work. The cost involved depends on if you have a diamond type key (which are inexpensive to program), of the square style keys which will run you closer to $200 total for the programmers and blanks.
