That thread is from four months ago, at that time the actual newest hpfp had only been released for two months and actually just starting to show up in more dealerships around that time around that time. The problem is that there is no way of knowing for sure if they really have the newest if the people do not know the actual part# of the hpfp they received that far back. 1351-7-594-943 is the newest I'm aware of. You will notice it is not even mentioned yet in the Dec 2010 SIB.

Every service mgr is going to tell you that you are getting the latest and greatest hpfp, when in reality you were just getting whatever stock they have available at that time.

Thanks for the update. When did you get yours installed? Have the part# available by any chance?

Guys, my new HPFP was a recall letter from BMW that said to contact my dealer ASAP to make a appointment to have the new fuel pump installed.
My original fuel pump was working just fine with over 40,000 miles on it when I took the 2008 535xi in for the new one.

I dont give a shit how new or old or great my fuel pump is. i dont care what the part number is, or when it was installed. as long as my car starts and drives as advertised, which it has not done on multiple occasions.

It's already clear that you have one of the worst E60s ever made. Bitching about your car on the internet isn't going to do anything to help you.

What is stopping you from selling your lemon and moving on?
