hi everyone so im torn between which one to get.. because i dont know much about beemers... so heres a 745i 2002. 2007 BMW 550i Black/Tan int. its beautiful and almost everythings rebuilt on it an he would trade for my 2006 pontaic grand prix gxp which has 135k on it new transmission blah blah blah but runs pretty well , it just annoys me because i feel it always needs something fixed. so he would trade for that.or on my other side i found a 2007 550i 6speed manual black with tan leather with 103k but will only take cash. 14000k..... .what should i do. anything i need to know about these? good cars bad ? any imput please and thank you(:

Well you have to let us know if the new car will be a daily driver? Do you have a family and need a lot of space?

Im my opinion i would go with the 07 550i because its newer and if you plan to keep it for a while, it will still have some value. The 745i is already over 10 years old and BMW's tend to meed more
maintenance as they age. If you are a luxury guy then the 7 will be more appealing but if you want sport and luxury then the 5 will be a better choice.

That manual trans is a plus also on the 550i, its hard to find and more fun to drive. It also has Dinan upgrades!

 

Go and take a look at the 2007 550i. See what options that car has and ask for maintenance history. That will help in making an informed decision....

 

That's strange that the owner of 745 - he wasted that much $$$ fixing it and wants to trade it for Pontiac....

 

yeah i know.. im a taller guy and love space in a car. and yeah love the 550i it was so hard finding the manual 550i. but ill prob go look at that one thank you!!
