So there is going to be a new facelift for the E60 in mid 2007? Should we wait until that facelift comes out or just buy the E60 in a few weeks? How big is the difference going to be? I can only see them doing changes to the rear at most, will the interior be heavily changed too?

The E60 is due for a change sometime in 2007 (2008MY?) but people here can only guess as to the changes. To get an idea look at the past 5 series. The changes have been minor and mostly to exterior trim and as with all model year changes there may be new options or included (n/c) items thrown in. We *might* also see a new engine offering but nothing official yet. Bottom line if you want/need the car now get it since there will always be a new model a 'few' months away.

What engine to you plan on purchasing? If you're not getting the V8, then you might want to wait until the turbo inline 6 is released as the 535i. That should happen within a year.

Red face

Autospies is saying... those expecting big changes will be dissapointed... I Dissagree!

Look at the 7er, the head light and tail lights are completely different shapes and front and rear bumpers are all different as well so you can't just change the lights w/o changing the hood, and trunk. I think the 5er face lift will not be like the previous gen where all you have to do is change the head and tail lights, voila, Instant Facelift! (sort of).

Facelift with new (R6's and one V8) engines coming in September '07 (BMW E60 MY -08).

There's a time and place for everything...

But before that check out the new E92 (335Ci) with the new superb N54B35 twin-turbo.
