My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
Just read (AutoMotorundSport, DE) about two new gasoline engines for the 3-series.
A supercharged 3-litre engine with around 330 hp (335i) and the new M3 engine, a V8 with 425 hp.
Let's see if we get these new engines to the E60 as well.

the 335i will be turbocharged not supercharged

i don't think we will see the 335 engine in the e60 beacuse we have the new 540... but you never no...

I'd personally be more interested in a turbo 6 than the engine in the 540i. Do a few benign mods and the car will be putting out as much or more hp than a 550i. Just look at what you could do to the old S4.
As I've predicted before, I think the US will see the M Sport package with this car if/when we see a 5 equipped with this engine.

Yup. 60+ hp would be an easy reach with a mod or two. 100 wouldn't be much of a stretch either.
