Bought a 2005 545i 3 weeks ago and love it. I want the car to sound more like a real v8 but without excessive noise. I have a 2003 z4 3.0 with a Billy boat tri flo system that sounds good. Any ideas?

welcome. you could always go with another muffler, like eisenmann, rdsport, b&b, remus, supersprint, etc. you could also just go with straight pipes. if you do any of those and want more sound/deepness, you always have the option of removing a resonator or all 3 and replacing it with piping. you could look through some threads in the parts and accessories section to get some ideas, as well as looking at members' profiles and/or looking at their signatures if they included their mods. hope this helps. enjoy the forums.

Search; there are dozens of posts and even some sound clips on this topic.
You'll also find some that were put up for sale because they became tiresome.
Good luck,
Ray
