Thank you,

I did go into settings and and it would not let me change it. Will go to the dealer and see what happens....
Who did the install on the new wheels? Did they transfer the sensor from the OEM wheels to the new wheels? If not, the only wy to remove the warning is get the old sensors or buy new ones, install and then initialize again.

how big is your rear tire?
I feel like you might rub the fender which means you might have to roll up the fender.

E602008, You need to drive off, after you reset the TPMS or it will not complete the process. You can't just sit there in your garage and hit reset. The car needs to be driven a short distance for the computer to "communicate" with the TPMS to make sure the system is working. So, try that if you haven't already. I guess my 1st question should have been, "Do you even have TPMS on your new rims?" If not, that warning will not go away.

As for only putting H&R springs on with the OEM shocks, your comfort and driving experience will suffer as compared to stock or aftermarket coilovers. The ride gets a bit bouncy and harsh due to the fact that your OEM shocks aren't meant to be used with the shorter, stiffer H&R springs....all about the compression ratio between the two components. When you hit uneven pavement, especially on the highway, you are going to have that "bottoming out" feeling, and then your car will bounce a bit for a second or 2 aferwards. I have the H&R springs only (because the xi has no coilovers available), and I wouldn't do just springs again in the future.

There's a secton of highway on my way to work that has expansion joints every 10 meters or so for about a half mile. My car bounces along the entire stretch like I am on a pogo stick, ok...so it might be a bit of an exaggeration.

Thanks for the info, spoke to the shop where I got the rims and the rims did not come with TPMS but I could take the valves from the stock rims and stick them on on the dubs. Sounds like pain in the A$$ but doesn't look like I have a choice.....

I had a feeling the ride would not be the same with the H&R's and stock shocks. I leased the ride for only 2 years (waiting for the 2010 new style) so going through the hassle doesn't seem like the right choice at the moment.

Dropping rides in NYC is kind of suicidal anyways... This is not Cali.

Thanks for the info bro.

Welcome.

Ok, how different is the suspension? I know it's lowered abit. Anything else? BMW site does not provide that much scoop on it...

Thx

In terms of an actual drive, how dramatic will H&R springs alone impact the ride?

Too hard ?

Thanks
By looking at your picture, I believe you have mounted your tires on the wrong side as the rotation on the tire pattern is facing the rear but you have mounted it on the passenger side rear. You might want to double check.

K Wang...good catch! I agree...FK452's are unidirectional tires, and your rear in that pic is facing the backwards. Those side-treads should be pointing forward and downward, with a V-pattern when looking at the tire from front to back. Your V-pattern is back to front. Check out the sidewall. There should be arrows pointing in the correct direction, towards the front of your car, on all 4. If they are pointing to the back, they either need to be flipped to the other side or were mounted wrong, or both. Hopefully, your left rear is also pointing rearward at this point so you can just change remount each wheel on the opposite side. If not, you will need one of the tires re-mounted. Check those fronts out too....the right front looks correct, from what I can see in that first pic.

Let us know.
