1000 pounds for an M steering wheel seems largely exaggerated. In Belgium it is offer as extra for 200 Euro.
Perhaps 1000 is to retrofit....

Oh wait... I think ours here in the state spells out "Brake" I have to go check mine now.

I'm impressed, not often do you see the last three cars together!

The Nav in the 60 is better than the 39 (mk3 in mine) in lots of small ways, and as Imu says, it WILL now accept postcodes which I also think is essential these days.

I have a Sport, but I'm convinced the wheel is bigger than the one in the E39 sport. The servotronic steering is so light that a smaller one would be nice. Could be a sport wheel for sale here soon if I can find a compatible smaller one.
