My Ride: 2005 545i, SMG tranny, 19" M5 wheels painted black
Default

I just bought my first BMW. 2005 545i w/SMG tranny and all the other options that i'll ever use but are cool to say "look what my car can do." Love the car so far its amazing. Had to go with the M5 wheels though & have em custom painted. Looking to doing some mods to get more performance out of the car. Is there any intake or exhaust you recommend? Dinan has an intake kit for $800 and claims it will at 17 more hp. Anyone done this?

WOW man. I luv the wheels. Very nice mod, excellent. Put on some CF grills or black grills and some Euro stickers and ur all set if u dont want to go big $$$ with the body kit and quads.

Pretty good choice going with SMG.Congrats on the new to you car

Looks like chromed 166 replica wheels that have the spoke fronts painted black. I personally think they would look better on a Nissan Z or something and not a 5-series BMW but to each his own. Its creative.

Wheels look like Oreo cookies. Not loving them. Congrats on the car though. A 545 SMG is a great car.

Welcome to the boards....

I've never seen 166's with a finish like that... very unique.

the first performance mods I'd highly recommend is a sprint booster, BMI drop-in filter, RPI scoop, and RPI exhaust. Do these things and your'll notice a big difference in your cars performance! GL with the modding.
