Hey just purchased my first BMW, 2008 528xi. And I have a lot of questions. Can anyone tell me if my idrive needs to be updated or if it can be updated. Next is there a way to get music played through bluetooth. Third if I was to buy a used Nav/DVD system from eBay will it fit my car. They say it's from E60 car and it will fit 2006-2010. Finally, I took the car to the dealership and they said my radio is SAT ready is there something I can do to activate it or does dealer have to do it. I know this is a lot but guidance will be greatly appreciated.

SAT Radio ready does not imply you have a SAT module. So first off you need to check that. There's a company called bimmertech who can code your car and get you a free trial. I used them a couple years ago and everything has been perfect.
