I think that it is a 3 with four doors. This is from the May issue of Automobile.

If and its a big if, these pictures are correct I like the front end changes but hate the rear. The front does resemble that of the three but thats OK, the rear lights if they were like this would not be the first time BMW got it wrong. Just look at the awful rear lights on the X3 they are out of proportion to each other between the tailgate & the rear wings and look messy.
Fact is though why change something that is already a style icon change for change sake is a poor decision, Id much rather they did some revisions to the interior like add sunglass holders, revise the auto air-con and add a side sunvisor (even the Mini gets one of these). I would like to see them add a material that easy to clean on the front door bins that catch scuff marks from shoes etc.

Lets wait and see, its not so many years ago(me included) when we thought the E60 was radical, now its seen as a style leader that Bangle got right.

I do like the front, but the rear end, the tail lights.. They are, simply put, wrong, so wrong as anything can be.

There is not a single body panel on this car which is the same as the E60.
These are not accurate pics of an E60 facelift. That is for certain.
Anyone in doubt, up for a bet?

I guess the article is not claiming that this is the facelifted E60, instead they are saying that it's the 2009 F10 which would replace the E60. I don't know about the 2009 date though, I thought it would be 2010 at the earliest.

I'm glad to see your last sentence above. The first sentence is EXACTLY the same types of things many people (especially many E39 owners) were saying on Roadfly about the E60 when it first came out ( why change something that looks great already,.....change for the sake of change itself is not a good thing, etc.....).
