Superb!
When did you get the wheels done?
Ladies and Gentleman....I Bring you an 08 550i Sport Pckg--Space Gray with Gun Metal Rims.
I like the "slight contrast" the Gun Metal rims give to the cars overall appearance. I actually think it looks amazing.
Your thoughts?

I had the wheels done at Discount Tire in Alhambra CA. I paid $650 for everything. It's not easy keeping the M insignia intact when having it done. These guys are good but they told me there was a possibility they'd have to get new ones from BMW(at a slight cost)if they weren't able to take them off. After it was done, he told me it was no problem. Obviously ---they are the first 08-550i 19' M-Rims they've done.
If anybody is interested in getting it done, PM me and I'll give you details.

BMW#6 congrats on your new ride, I luv those smokin 172s.
So you have gotten rid of your 530i? no longer BMW#5....
You will be ripping pass everyone on those wonderful roads I came to experience in your country, any long drives out to the cape planned?
I was just in Sandton a couple of months ago visiting SA, bought lots of fine wine home from johnny goodfellows.
SoCal those gun metal wheels are fab too~! Now everyone will know its you passing them.

the silver looks great in that light. great contrast with the trim and wheels. good shots. congrats.
first time I thought I might want a silver 5 series always thought that was one of worst colors for this particular body style. bmw should hire you for marketing.

Thanks rollee
The 530i has indeed been sold, hence now BMW#6.
I'm looking at doing a trip to Durban sometime soon. Nice trip to really enjoy the car.
You must let me know next time you're in Sandton.

A few members have asked for some more close up's of the wheels to see the metallic/reflective nature of the paint used. So I tried some night pics with flash to see if it would be more visible.
The wheels are not actually a monochromatic colour but are a combination of black and chrome.

this explains it. another member did the same to his wheels to beautify them even more.
