ACSM is just the safety management, up until 09/05 the safety management was byteflight, where bus comunication was via a fiber optic cable, now its done by a sub bus, there is still K-CAN, MOST and PT-CAN, are you confused yet?, LOL.
Ya... I'm sorry I asked... But I think I'm putting the picture together... Thanks.
I cant help but not ask... you work for the design of these systems?

Did all this stuff get resolved. My car is going in tomorrow morning for exactly the same problem. Did the sensor change/update help?
It only takes a couple hours for the new kit, since no reprogramming is involved, and that's a plus as well..now we just have to see if the fix holds!!

My Ride: Jan 06 Delivery, 2006 550 Sport , silver gray metallic, clear bra, black leather, step, active steering, comfort seats, logic 7, Nav, head-up display, comfort access, satellite, anthracite trim and headliner, M-body kit, electric sun shade, split fold down rear seats, Hard Wired BEL STi Driver Radar/Laser Detector.
My active steering module was replaced and I have had no problems since. I have 10k miles on my 550 now and it seems for now that the bugs have been worked out. I absolutely love this vehicle. Very fast, comfortable and a sheer joy to drive every day.
Enjoy...
Enjoy...
