Hello, once again. A couple of weeks ago I posted that I was switching over from a 2003 745i to a 2005 545ia.

I took receipt of the 545, which is silver gray with a black interoir and poplar wood. I have the sport package, comfort seats, NAV, HUD, Premium sound, Sirius, electric rear sunshade and chromed wheels with Bridgestone runflats (specifically requested by me to my dealer). I'm also using a Motorola V710 from Verizon that works perfectly via Bluetooth.

I like the size of the 545 for maneuverability better than the 745. I like the active steering and HUD. Sirius is really cool, but it is tinny and hollow compared to CD's. The navigation is also sleeker than on the 745.

I miss the spaciousness, at times, of the 745. I also miss the luxury seats, and at times, the ride of the 745. I also miss the styling.

Here are some pics I took of the new ride, which I am really enjoying:

Why didn't you get the comfort seats?? I believe they are the same in both the 745 and 545.

I do have comfort seats (fully, electronically adjustable). The luxury seats in the 745 also have heat, cooling and massage function.

That's possible options for the 5-series too.

Good Looking Bimmer, and chrome BMW OEM's Rims!

I am considering the Satellite radio, and the Motorola Blue Tooth cell phone installed in my e60 530i later this year, but I would like to hear your opinion first on how good those two options are? Is it worth it the extra $$$$? (I need hands free cell phone with iDrive, and I travel and think the Satellite Radio is the way to go, but only if the sound quality is there, like when playing a cd? I read what you said, "but it is tinny and hollow compared to CD's." and I was wondering if this could be corrected somewhow by the BMW North America e60 experts??? )

Thanks in Advance.

We can't get the massage function in the US at this time. Ventilated seats are a bit pricey for what you get.

Nice looking car RMG007.
