Well there you go -- according to the universal E60.net ownership pattern, we probably won't be hearing much more from spike for a while...

Here's a clickable link:

You need to click the "insert link" button (just to the right of the smileys' pull down) and allow scripted windows to temporarily run on the page (if your browser blocks that sort of thing).

Actually, his link would've probably worked fine by just typing it except that he prefaced the link with a "bold" tag so the software didn't treat it as a link...

Only issue was the dreaded iPod cable (do any of you have the link to the bulletin saying its free)...
http://forums.e60.net/index.php?act=attach...st&id=42512

Go to Page 3 where it describes connecting an iPod. The directions specifically say "using the included connector...". When we picked up my wife's new X5 with the USB connector for iPod, no cable was included. I printed this SIB and showed my salesman this and he sort of made a face then went and spoke with a manager. After a few minutes he came back, fed a line of BS that the cables are taken out of the cars upon delivery because they are being stolen when taken for a test drive. Well we had ordered the X5 so no one was test driving the car. He went to parts and got me the cable, no charge. I honestly believe that if Cobrdav had not posted this SIB I would have gone in ignorant and been charged some outragous price for a cable that is free as part of the $400 iPod connection I paid for when ordering the car!

Thanks for the info on the 3M paint protection film guys. Looks like something I will invest in a professional to put on for me.
