Hell fellow E60ers,

I just took delivery of my Titanium silver 530i yesterday. Love the car,
even my 16month old baby is crazy about it. He can stay inside the cabin
playing all the nobs and buttons for 10 minutes by himself and still does
not want to come out. Thanks all for the informative posts in this forum,
great site.

Welcome to you and your son; maybe he can help straighten out the iDrive.

Thanks all for the kind words, I'll post some pictures later. Here are some initial impressions:
Interior looks better to me than in the show room. I actually like the idrive, maybe because I
am an extensive computer user. The stock audio system sounds pretty good. I also like the
start/stop button (no CA). My only complain is with the garage door opener programming.
It took me three tries and more than an hour to get it to work (It only took me a few minutes
to program my other non-bmw car). I almost give up and call the dealer until I did a search
on the topic. One fellow e60er mentioned he had to place the original transmitter between the
window and the receiver to make it work. I follow suit and the LED starts to rapidly flash in a
few seconds, you can image how happy I was...
