Well it's not really HID more of LED swap I found on here. "Eugene Eyebrows"
I was thinking of doing that first but the dealer I picked it up from was nice enough to put a new set of tires, so going to wait til these go bold.

Is the ECU Tune/Flash a perment mod or is it removeable?

Is the ECU Tune/Flash a perment mod or is it removeable?
1) Piggy back method (like BMS for non-turbo setups); can easily be undone by removing the "piggy back chip".
2) Flashing services where you send you ECU module to the 'Tuner" to have it flashed is harder to "undo" --due to you have to resend back your ECU back to the tuner.
3) Flashing via "access port tool" -is suppose to be the easiest method but I am not familiar if they make it for N52 engines.... I read somewhere in this forum about "EuroCharged" making one for N52 engine...

Hey guys, new to the forum as of today. I have a 08 528i sport deep sea blue/black. have had it about 2.5 yrs now. great car. handles like a dream, but gawk at the 'dead spot' accelerating 1-2. would like advice for performance upgrades as i see there are not many. currently trading emails with active autowerke regarding flash ecu software for n52 engine; can be done via a software tool that you buy extra and are able to change programs thru the odb port as well as flash back to stock (for deal service).
anyone have an opinion or experience with this or similar (think ESS makes same)?
p.s. ... today put in black grilles to complement shadowline on the car and a k&n filter
