Hi all,
I picked up my new ride.
I was worried I'd miss my x5 but I dont miss it one bit.
This is one outstanding car.
I burned a dvd with 1083 mp3's on it and the dvd for the nav played them I didn't know it could
I'll try and post pics later.

I've two questions... a) how do you feel the engine? is it too weak for this car? I guess not, but I wonder if it is ok. and b) you say you burned 1083 mp3's on one DVD... From my knowledge on this forum, they say, that the unit can only see first 239 files... Are you sure you can read them all in your car?

I suppose the E60 is more comfortable than the X5?
Is it also more silent inside?

the ride is sooooo nice I don't miss the x one bit.
I was worried about the manual gear box but I find I have much more control of the car and don't use the brakes as much as I would if it were auto.
I burned a new dvd +rw with over 600 mp3's on it and everyone of them played with no problems that I noticed.
These cars really are magic. I haven't stopped yet.
Every spare minute I have I'm out driving hence I haven't been here for a bit sorry.
The 2ltr d is well able to drive the car. If I take off from a set of lights the car is gone up the road like a rocket.
I really enjoy driving it.

Keep us all posted on the 2.0d. A neibour of mine can just about run to a 2.0d Five in SE trim but is worried about the 2.0d in a larger car than he has now. He will be deciding in the next month or so.
