why does everyone love the 535i, because its turbo...i dont know , please tell me what the advantage s are over the 550i. i would think normaly aspirated would be better
I use to drive a 95' twin turbo Aristo and that is good power for a big car. But the car is very SH*T to drive so sold it within a year.

I think the excitement is the U.S. is that the 535i will replace the 530i, hopefully without much cost creep, while offering much better performance (I have driven the 335i coupe and the twin turbo six mated to the manual tranny is fabulous). The 550 will still outperform the 535, but will come at a much higher price. My opinion after experiencing the performance of the turbo and as a current 545i owner is that the 535i will be the much better value.

Not a real dramatic change. It looks like BMW had some input from Enthusiats , and refined it so that all aspects of the car were favored. Headlights are sweet!

Does anyone know that if you order a 5er now and get some form of an A/T; will you still get the Joystick (and just exclude the paddle shifters). Or does anyone think they will just give you the same Step A/T that we have in the pre-facelift E60's? I am asking because I know the SPORT Automatic will be on hold until Summer and I don't want to be stuck with the old Step...
